Meet the Team: Nasir Ali, UI/UX Designer

In this latest Meet the Team, the HR department interviewed Nasir Ali, our UI/UX Designer, who’s been with the business for over one and a half years.

What initially attracted you to TelXL?

The company’s clear vision for innovation in communication technology. I saw a chance to be part of something impactful while also stepping into a new professional territory. It felt like the ideal place to apply my experience in a meaningful way and continue growing alongside a team that values progress and user-focused design.

 

In three words, please describe TelXL?

Engaging, encouraging and rewarding.

 

What’s been your biggest challenge?

Designing within the context of transitioning from a legacy product to a new, modern system. It’s required me to balance respecting existing user habits while introducing improved and more intuitive experiences. At the same time, I’ve been learning the ins and outs of a new industry and product ecosystem. It’s been a steep but rewarding learning curve, and the support from the TelXL team has been key to helping me grow and contribute with confidence.

 

What’s been your biggest highlight?

Designing the agent chat, customer data fragment, and supervisor performance zone. This work allowed me to create a seamless and intuitive experience that improves agents’ access to critical information while providing supervisors with clear performance insights, ultimately enhancing overall support and quality. Seeing these designs positively impact workflows has been very rewarding.

 

How would you describe the company culture in a few words?

The company encourages cross-team communication and supports creative problem solving.

 

What are you most excited about as you continue your journey with us?

Seeing the new product launch come to life and hearing the valuable feedback from customers. It’s rewarding to know that the designs we’ve created will make agents workflows smoother, allowing them to focus more on delivering exceptional customer service. Being a part of this process, iterating based on real user insights and continuously improving the experience, is both inspiring and motivating.

 

 

Tell us a bit about yourself: 

How long have you worked in the IT industry?

I’ve been in the IT industry for 8 years, working and gaining experience across both public and private sectors.

 

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy playing and watching football, relaxing with a good movie, and gaming with friends and family. It’s a great way to unwind and stay connected.
